HYBRID PROGRAM
Montessori Village Academy is offering a hybrid program for the 2020-2021 school year, in which classroom instruction is combined with remote learning to optimize and accommodate the academic needs and social development of the children attending. Our hybrid program provides options for families seeking flexibility as we all navigate this uncharted territory.
One-on-one Instruction
Individualized instruction allows the classroom guide to follow the child and actively respond to their needs, interests, and learning style, to deliver instruction accordingly. This kind of instruction happens in the physical classroom, likewise online. During Zoom meetings, the classroom guide checks in with individual students to respond to questions, offer feedback, and provide instructions to assignments.
In-Classroom Instruction
We provide full, in-class lessons during normal school hours for children who can attend the entire day of school.
Abbreviated Schedule
A part-time schedule is available for families needing a customized arrangement for their children to attend in-class instruction.
Remote Learning
Online learning and instruction are available during school hours and by appointment. This remote environment allows children to conduct coursework and dissemination of information through a computer or portable device while participating in discussion teams, Zoom meetings, email, shared Google Docs, and other online platforms.
Mini Class Size
In-class activities, including regular and abbreviated schedules, will be conducted with a reduced occupancy for each classroom, in order to fulfill or exceed the maximum safety distance outlined by the CDC.
Parent Choice
Since parents and guardians are stakeholders in their children’s education, they have the flexibility to decide when and how often their children will attend in-classroom instruction and/or remote learning. Parents have the option to work with the administration to customize a schedule that would accommodate the needs of their families.
